Oahu - "The Gathering Place"
[ Kauai | Oahu | Molokai | Lanai | Maui | Hawaii ]
Overview
Oahu (pronounced o-ah-hoo) is an island of extremes. At
one extreme you have the cosmopolitan city of Honolulu (the capital
city
of Hawaii) and the playground of Waikiki with its paradise of sun
bronzed children, sophisticated restaraunts, and world class boutiques;
all
with the scenic backdrop of Diamond Head.
At the other end of the extreme, you can enjoy the paradise of
the island as you stroll along the miles of white sandy beaches,
swim in
the crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, or hike the
majestic Koolau or Waianae mountain ranges.
